Dan Clarke

Strategy and Partnerships Manager

Smart Cambridge

The Smart Cambridge programme was set up to look at how emerging technology and data can help address some of the challenges that Cambridge and the wider County face. Dan worked on setting up the programme and has developed collaborations with the University of Cambridge and business, accessing significant funding from the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) and external grants. The projects Dan has worked on have delivered an ‘Internet of Things’ platform across the city, the data from the platform drives a number of mobility applications and is being used to inform delivery of the GCP programme. He has also secured funding for a number of autonomous vehicle projects which are on-going in the city and is leading projects on Mobility as a Service and new mobility models. The programme has recently been commissioned to work with a St Neots a Market town to develop a ‘Smart’ blueprint replicable across the county. Previously Dan has worked on a Future of transport programme for the County Council and managed a number of innovation projects in Cambridgeshire for the local authorities.
