Ella is the Head of the Future of Mobility in the Department for Transport. The Future of Mobility is one of four Grand Challenges announced in the Industrial Strategy with the aim of making the UK the world leader in the movement of goods, services and people. This year Ella’s team published the Future of Mobility: Urban Strategy, as well as launching a wide scale regulatory review looking at areas including micro-mobility, buses and taxis, Mobility as a Service and data. Before this, Ella worked on Connected Vehicle policy for two years, and originally joined the department in 2012 working as a statistician in Maritime
